Lloyd’s has revised its website’s navigation structure after conducting user testing with more than 250 stakeholders worldwide.

“Lloyd’s is committed to improving the experience of our website for market participants and stakeholders,” said the world’s specialist insurance market in an announcement. “Feedback tells us that while our website is a central resource of information for many of you, at times it can be difficult to find what you are looking for.”

The project to review Lloyds.com’s navigation and structure from a user perspective was initiated in summer 2017. Changes, which are now live, include the following:
  • General content and market-specific information are separated via two-tier navigation.
  • ‘Popular’ policyholder information and events information have been moved to the top navigation.
  • Market directories are now accessible directly from the main navigation for increased visibility.
  • Also accessible from the main navigation is the new “tools and systems” section.
  • Unnecessary duplication has been removed to reduce the number of clicks needed to reach pages.
“We understand that it may take a while for you to get used to the new structure,” added Lloyd’s. “To help you navigate the new layout, we have set up redirects for all pages that have been moved. This means that if you have a bookmark saved for specific content, you will be redirected to its new location automatically.”

Users who can’t find where content has been moved to may contact Lauren Cable at [email protected].

Meanwhile Lloyd’s said it is continuously working to improve the website. Upcoming enhancements include updated designs for news and event pages, additional interactive and video content, and advanced search functionality.
