Meridian Lawyers, which provides focused legal advice in insurance law, corporate, and commercial law, has announced two internal promotions.

Georgina Odell, who has more than 25 years of legal experience providing commercial legal services to a diverse client base, was promoted to principal, and Lauren Jefford, who has specialised in insurance and personal injury law for the majority of her career, was appointed to associate.

Odell joined Meridian in 2012 and has been promoted twice since then, while Jefford was admitted to practice in 2010.

Also promoted this year were principal David Partridge (Sydney), special counsels Chandrika Darroch (Newcastle) and Lachlan Heather (Sydney), senior associate Anna Brown (Newcastle), and associates Melanie Shanahan (Sydney) and James Papworth (Sydney).

“Each internal promotion this year has been thoroughly deserved and I am immensely proud of the dedication and outstanding client service demonstrated by all individuals,” said Paul Baker, managing director. “We have a high performing team and are well-positioned to continue our growth and development in the Australian legal market.”
