MLC Life Insurance has announced the appointment of Sean Williamson as executive lead of new business for group insurance.

In his new role, Williamson will create new growth opportunities as it relates to group distribution, the industry fund sector, and large corporate market, while maintaining a focus on the customer.

He will join MLC Life Insurance in August, reporting to Sean McCormack, chief of group and retail partners at MLC Life Insurance.

Williamson “has a pivotal role in building and embedding our accelerated growth strategy,” McCormack said. “His extensive experience in the sector will help us to grow our existing group portfolio, develop new opportunities, and boost our credentials in the group insurance market.”

Williamson has more 25 years’ experience in the life insurance and broader financial services industry, including senior executive roles at TAL and AIG.
