A specialised life insurance business is offering additional relief measures for customers who are impacted by Australia’s worsening bushfire crisis.

MLC Life Insurance said it will waive premiums for up to three months for existing retail insurance customers who reside in a bushfire-affected area Australia-wide. The relief measures have been in place for MLC Life’s retail customers in NSW and Queensland since November and have now been expanded to all states and territories across Australia.

Advisers with bushfire-impacted customers have until the end of February to contact their MLC Life Insurance distribution engagement manager or call 136522 to inquire about or apply for the offer. Customers can call 136525.

“By offering this assistance to our customers, MLC Life Insurance wants to support them to ensure that their life insurance cover remains in place, so they can focus on restoring their lives as quickly as possible,” said David Hackett, CEO of MLC Life Insurance.
