We're near the end of National Insurance Brokers Association's (NIBA) 2021.2 Convention, with the final session to be held in Sydney.

The five-day hybrid convention is held over three weeks from February 08 to February 21 in Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane, and Sydney. Through this event, delegates can interact face-to-face and attend a marketplace in their home state for one session while accessing the other sessions virtually. Its theme is Professionalism + Resilience = Opportunity to highlight brokers' chance to reinforce their role as valued partners to insurers and clients in a dynamic landscape.

The final session will feature an outstanding line-up of speakers, including Christian “Boo” Boucousis as the closing keynote speaker. It will be held on February 21 from 3:00pm to 5:30pm at the International Convention Centre in Sydney.

The 2021.2 NIBA Convention was supposed to take place from September to October 2021. However, it was moved to early 2022 in response to the COVID-19 situation in Australia.

In a previous statement, NIBA CEO Dallas Booth said rescheduling the convention enables NIBA members, sponsors, and exhibitors to connect and enjoy the event face-to-face while accessing the entire national program virtually.

As with the rest of the sessions, the final one will offer attendees a clear and unbiased view of significant topics of the day to equip them with the tools to overcome challenges in the industry and leverage opportunities.

NIBA expects representatives from over 35 companies to attend the final session to connect with their broking colleagues and meet face-to-face with insurers, underwriters, and the broader industry.
