Senior insurance specialist COTA Insurance has appointed Leila Henderson and Wayne Lyons to its national board. In their new roles, both will assist COTA’s strategy for growth, according to chairperson Julie Obst.

The Adelaide-based organisation provides a range of personal insurance services to meet the needs of Australian retirees. It operates as an alliance of independent not-for-profit organisations to provide special benefits and services to over 50s, and to advocate for seniors’ rights and interests.

Henderson is a business owner with a career background in journalism and public relations. COTA said she founded two successful IT and media businesses and has worked for high circulation publications in North America, the UK, and Australia.

Meanwhile, Lyons is a veteran in sales, marketing and general management. He has spent the past 16 years as a strategic marketing consultant and has worked with both large multinationals and leading Australian SMEs.

“Leila and Wayne’s broad range of skills and experience will greatly benefit both our business and our members,” said Obst.
