Specialist insurance law firm Sparke Helmore has released a new video showcasing some of the recent key activities and initiatives from its pro bono practice.

The video starred representatives from the firm’s charitable and community partners, including Marrickville Legal Centre and Mates Against Melanoma, and showed how the firm is helping improve access to justice and strengthen the communities in which it operates.

“I would like to thank our partner community organisations for the time, support, and opportunities they have given us,” said Phillip Salem, the firm’s national managing partner. “The firm is also incredibly grateful for the significant contribution of its partners and staff towards the pro bono practice.”

Sparke Helmore said it once again exceeded its national aspirational pro bono target for the 2018/2019 financial year, with 435 pro bono matters taken on over the year and a total of 14,879 hours of pro bono legal work undertaken by its lawyers. The firm said it is also on track to exceed the target again this year.
