Insurance Brands Australia has announced its acquisition of Peacock Insurance, a brokerage located in Wagga Wagga. A media release said the brokerage has already been integrated into Insurance House broking, one of Insurance Brand’s businesses.
According to it website, Peacock specialise in heavy transport and earthmoving insurance and also marine and logistics coverages.
“We are excited to welcome Daniel Peacock [Peacock’s director] and the team at Peacock Insurance,” said Melbourne based Rob Currenti, Insurance House’s general manager. “I look forward to supporting the local community as Daniel and his team have for the last 22 years and continuing their legacy.”
The release said the Peacock team are remaining at their Wagga Wagga office and will continue as a brand within Insurance House.
“We are very excited to join forces with Insurance House with access to a broader range of products, services and expertise which will obviously benefit both our clients and our own team,” said Peacock in the release.
Last month, Insurance Brands announced a new CEO and several other appointments. Scott Leis who has led the firm’s Insurance House broking business since 2019 moved into the CEO role.
Melbourne headquartered Insurance Brands is a group of insurance advice and distribution businesses, primarily brokerages and authorised representatives (ARs).
The firm is part of the Steadfast network of brokerages.
