Steadfast Group, the largest broker network in Australia and New Zealand, has announced Nigel Fitzgerald (pictured above) as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO). Fitzgerald is currently CEO of AIG Australia.

“Nigel brings an extensive and diverse range of skills that complement Steadfast’s revenue streams,” said Steadfast CEO Robert Kelly. “We are delighted to have such a high calibre executive further strengthen Steadfast’s executive team.”

Fitzgerald has 25 years’ of experience across general insurance and reinsurance in Asia, London, the United States and Australia.

The media release said the announcement follows the appointment of current Steadfast COO Samantha Hollman in a new role as CEO of Steadfast International Insurance Assets. Hollman commences March 01 2023.

“I’d like to congratulate Samantha on her new role and I welcome Nigel to Steadfast Group,” said Kelly.

The Steadfast release said Fitzgerald will start his new job in 2Q 2023 and be Sydney based.
