Lightbody had been with SUA for 20 years, significantly strengthening the underwriting agency by forging new partnerships – which now include 24 specialist agencies and more than 100 niche products – while building a solid professional team.
Steadfast Group managing director and CEO Robert Kelly thanked Lightbody for his 20-year service to SUA and his loyalty and friendship over the years.
“Simon has made a massive contribution to the evolution and success of SUA, which has grown to become the largest underwriting agency group in Australasia,” Kelly said.
However, Steadfast clarified that Lightbody will remain a non-executive director on the SUA subsidiary boards.
“Simon leaves SUA in a powerful position with strong foundations for the future. We wish him well in his non-executive life,” Kelly said. “I personally look forward to continuing our friendship for many years to come.”
