Underwriting agency ProRisk has announced two major appointments, as it anticipates a “positive and exciting” year ahead for the Australian firm.

Joining ProRisk this December are Joe Lou as the new southern regional manager, based in Melbourne; and Aimee Pozoglou as the northern regional manager, in North Sydney.

Lou brings to his new role as southern regional manager more than 30 years of extensive underwriting experience in casualty and financial lines, most recently as senior underwriter for casualty lines at Pen Underwriting, said Hamish McDonald Nye, executive director of ProRisk.

As northern regional manager, Pozoglou will have at her disposal “great technical and product development skills and broad relationships collected over an impressive 20-year career” working in both the Australian and Lloyds' markets, to drive the firm's expansion into the northern region, McDonald Nye said.

McDonald Nye said the appointments are part of the “positive and exciting” changes brokers can expect from ProRisk in the years ahead.

“As we approach our 15th year of servicing brokers with innovative insurance solutions matched by terrific in-house claims service, ProRisk continues to invest in our people, product development, and market relationships,” he said. “2018 will be an exciting year with further key appointments and solutions to be announced.”
