Chair of insurance firms AIA New Zealand and Sovereign Theresa Gattung has received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the recently concluded Women of Influence Awards.

The awards recognise and celebrate women from all walks of life, who make a positive difference in the lives of their fellow New Zealanders.

“Theresa’s award is richly-deserved,” AIA and Sovereign chief executive officer New Zealand Nick Stanhope noted. “Having her governance skills is both an honour for us, and an enormous benefit, given how important it is that AIA New Zealand and Sovereign reflect the community we serve, as we strive to help New Zealanders live healthier, longer, better lives.”

Earlier this month, Sovereign also scooped two White Camellia category awards for its transparency around, and the measuring and reporting of gender equality.
