Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. has announced the acquisition of Pittsburgh, Penn.-based Allied Business Network (ABN) and Smart Business Savings (SBS). Terms of the transactions were not disclosed.

ABN is a national program broker that offers ecommerce access to products and services throughout the US, Canada and Europe. SBS provides a similar service and features a white-label program, Business Advantage Plus, for larger clients that want to offer discounts to their business customers.

“With their strong client relationships, wide array of products and deep knowledge of the affinity loyalty and reward space, ABN and SBS are terrific additions to our US affinity operations,” said J. Patrick Gallagher Jr., chairman, president and CEO of Arthur J. Gallagher.

The latest acquisitions continue something of a trend for Arthur J. Gallagher, which has acquired several other businesses recently. In October alone, the company acquired insurance brokerage and risk management services firm Lutgert Insurance and New Mexico-based Reynolds and Rodar Insurance.
