It looks like the property & casualty and specialty risk division of AXA Group is not done boosting its teams.

AXA XL, which last week made major underwriting appointments, has now announced another batch of workforce changes. They involve the division’s London reinsurance unit as well as international financial lines.

In London reinsurance, Megan Kempe has been promoted to head of US property London while Conor Gaffney and Nick Pascall have been recruited to come onboard as specialty head and US casualty treaty head, respectively.

Kempe and Gaffney will assume their roles on Sept. 01; Pascall, Oct. 01. All three will be based in London, reporting to London reinsurance chief executive Rob Littlemore.

Meanwhile, over in Milan, Simona Fumagalli has been named as head of international financial lines for Europe. She joined XL Catlin as chief underwriting officer for professional indemnity within international financial lines in 2014 before becoming country manager for Italy two years later.

Fumagalli, who was appointed as country leader for AXA XL’s insurance operations in Italy at the beginning of 2019, will remain in her current position in addition to her new role until a successor has been appointed.
