Chubb New Zealand has named Peter Mensah the new regional manager for North Island, starting April 1.

Who is Peter Mensah?

Bringing over two decades of expertise to the position, Mensah has served as a key figure within Chubb Life New Zealand's team of business partnership managers.

His previous roles include positions such as national sales manager at Fidelity Life and distribution manager at PIC Insurance Brokers.

The appointment signifies Chubb's commitment to bolstering its support for advisers in the North Island and enhancing its partnerships throughout the nation, the company said.

Mensah's extensive experience and deep industry connections are anticipated to be instrumental in driving the company's goals forward in this region.

Chubb's new general manager – distribution

Further company updates include the promotion of Chris Hand to general manager – distribution.

Hand outlined immediate priorities, including refining product offerings based on partner feedback, extending service capabilities to assist partners in growing their businesses, and increasing direct engagements with the industry community.

“Looking ahead, I'm sure you'll be wondering what's in store as I step into my new role. What I can say is that I'll continue to be as market-facing in my role as I've been to date. In fact, you'll be seeing even more of me, and us as a business, right across the country as we continue to grow our presence in market and build on our valued partnership with you,” he said.

What to expect from Chubb New Zealand in early 2024

Early 2024 activities for Chubb include a fresh advertising campaign on the 1News Weather segment, aimed at increasing public awareness about the importance of life insurance and Chubb Life's role in safeguarding against unexpected life events.

The company also highlighted two promotional campaigns offering benefits for submissions completed by March 31 and issued by April 30.
