New Zealand-owned insurer Fidelity Life has announced the appointment of Tanya Hadfield as its head of people and culture.

Hadfield brings with her more than 20 years of industry experience, including from her most recent roles as chief people officer at Partners Life and executive general manager for people and culture at IAG New Zealand. She also held different human resources managerial roles for Royal Sun Alliance, ACE Insurance and Sovereign Insurance.

“As a key member of our executive leadership team Tanya will help us build on our already strong culture and support our focus on high performance and engagement,” Fidelity Life chief executive officer Nadine Tereora said.

“People are at the core of everything we do and getting the right people for the job, who are highly engaged, will allow us to deliver great service to our advisers, partners and customers.

“People and culture is a key strategic pillar for Fidelity Life and continuing to invest in this space will help ensure our future success.”

Hadfield is a member of the Insurance Council of New Zealand’s (ICNZ) employment and education committee, a member of the Australia, New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) advisory board and an ICC accredited business coach.
