Why insurance law?
I just joined a leading London insurance firm when I left law school and have never looked back!

How would you change the industry?
I would make third party motor insurance compulsory.

Best advice you’ve ever been given?
Never give up!

What’s the strangest case you’ve ever worked on/been involved with?
A claim under the rule in Rylands v Fletcher against a water company for contaminating my father-in-law's market garden with sewerage.

If you were Prime Minister for one day, what would you do?
Give everyone the day off.

What’s been the highlight of your career?
Being on the winning side of a case in the House of Lords where the leading counsel on the other side was Jonathan Sumption QC (now Lord Sumption).

What’s your favourite style of coffee?
Cappuccino.

Union, league, soccer or other?
Soccer

If you could invite three people to dinner, dead or alive, and excluding family or friends, who would they be and why?

Roger Moore, Sean Connery and Daniel Craig so that we could discuss who is the best Bond!

Complete this sentence: if I wasn’t in insurance law I would be… a retired Formula 1 driver.
