The Financial Services Council (FSC) of New Zealand has introduced the inaugural Trans-Tasman FSC Strategic Leaders Summit, an event aimed at fostering collaboration, instigating change, and advancing financial services on a regional and global scale.

This industry gathering, hosted this year by the FSC in Auckland, will serve as a platform for collaboration, change, and growth within the financial services sector, promoting learning, networking, and meaningful connections.

Through a unified effort, the Financial Services Councils of Australia and New Zealand will forge a potent collaboration leveraging the strength and capabilities of their members to deliver top-tier financial services to both Australians and Kiwis. This collaborative approach will also enable a showcase of current and prominent industry issues, underpinned by sector-leading insights and robust expertise from both sides of the Tasman.

FSC conferences consistently draw in a significant number of esteemed delegates and speakers. With an agenda featuring over 30 sessions, the objective is expected to deliver a highly esteemed conference.

Fostering connections in the industry

This inaugural large-scale Trans-Tasman conference represents an opportunity to foster connections across the sector, establishing a gateway to the global stage.

Given the extensive involvement of their members in the Pacific region and their shared interest in collaborative efforts, the conference offers a valuable space for professionals to convene, share insights, and enhance their global presence within the burgeoning international financial services sector.

The financial services sector has a pervasive impact, reaching individuals through life and health insurance, investments, and Superannuation/KiwiSaver. As the industry navigates comparable regulatory, technological, and market shifts, the emphasis remains on mutual learning, adaptation to the evolving landscape, and assisting Australians and Kiwis in understanding the language of finance to cultivate their financial well-being in today's dynamic global landscape.

The summit is curated by the sector, for the sector, with a focus on C-suite executives and senior managers within the financial services industry. The event will bring together executive leaders from Australia and New Zealand, alongside counterparts from various regional centres across the Pacific.

The announcement of FSC’s 2024 summit follows the successful Building Consumer conference held recently, with the FSC awards also taking a spotlight for recognising the standouts across the financial services sector in New Zealand.
