Brokerage giant Gallagher is once again on the acquisition hunt – this time announcing a deal for South Dakota-based Williams Insurance Agency.

The acquisition, made for an undisclosed sum, sees the 51-year-old agency maintain its current location with Greg Heineman, Timothy Donohue, Dwight Vondra and their associates to stay on. The firm offers a variety of property/casualty, health, life and voluntary benefit coverages across the state.

In a report at Verdict.co.uk, it was revealed that the agency’s senior staff will now report to Patrick Gallagher, the head of Gallagher’s Midwest retail property/casualty brokerage operations, and Jerry Roberts, head of the Heartland region’s employee benefits consulting and brokerage operations.

“Williams Insurance Agency solidifies our presence in Sioux Falls and enhances our existing restaurant, public entity, entertainment, construction and private trust capabilities,” Gallagher’s chairman, president and CEO J Patrick Gallagher Jr was quoted as telling the publication.

“I am delighted to welcome Greg, Tim, Dwight and their associates to our growing Gallagher family of professionals.”

Gallagher, based in Illinois, currently has operations across 33 countries and offers client service capabilities in 150 nations.
