Insurance Business has released its Top Insurance Employers 2026 special report, recognising 21 insurance organisations across Australia and New Zealand whose employees rated them at least 75% on workplace satisfaction measures.
According to Insurance Business, the recognition is based primarily on anonymous employee feedback rather than employer nominations alone. Employees evaluated their organisations across 21 categories, including compensation, workplace culture, flexibility, employee development, recognition, wellbeing, and leadership communication. The survey included organisations operating across several parts of the insurance industry, including underwriting agencies, brokerages, general insurers, loss adjusters, and premium funders.
Insurance Business invited insurance organisations across Australia and New Zealand to participate by completing an employer questionnaire outlining their workplace practices and employee offerings. Employees from participating organisations then completed anonymous surveys, rating their workplace on a scale from one to five across a range of measures, including benefits, compensation, organisational culture, employee development, and commitment to diversity and inclusion.
To qualify for inclusion in the Top Insurance Employers 2026 report, organisations were required to receive a minimum number of employee responses, with the threshold determined by overall workforce size. Insurance Business said employers that achieved an average employee satisfaction rating of at least 75% were recognised in this year’s report. The publication recognised 21 organisations across Australia and New Zealand that met the survey requirements.
