Comparison websites have often been viewed as an enemy of the broker – and now another pair of market entrants claim their website will help Kiwis “find the best travel insurance deals and travel cheaper around the world.”

Co-founders Denis Tyur’kov and Michael Speight launched new startup business CompareBear claiming they realised the “need in the market for unbiased price, provider and plan comparisons.”

CompareBear’s online comparison tool offers the chance to compare a variety of travel insurance providers and plans based on flying dates and destinations. It includes flight details and a full breakdown of cover inclusions. It also provides a comparison of broadband and electricity products.

“Although we’ve only launched the website recently, we can see that it’s already helping many Kiwis around New Zealand find the best deals on their travel insurance,” Tyur’kov said.

Speight, meanwhile, said many New Zealanders are happy once they’ve switched with CompareBear.

“With the website being easy and completely free to use, everyone gets to benefit from using the website,” he added.
