Insurance provider Partners Life has appointed Julie Fahey as a non-executive independent director to the boards of Partners Group Holdings and Partners Life.

Fahey is currently non-executive director of Datacom and of Yooralla, IRESS and CenITex in Australia. She is also a member of the Emergency Services Telecommunications Authority’s ICT advisory board.

“Julie’s unique background in technology and innovation, coupled with her New Zealand governance experience and her passion for transformational growth, will add a new dimension to the already broad and deep capabilities of the Partners Life board,” said Partners Life chairman Jim Minto.

“We are delighted to welcome Julie on the Partners Life journey to becoming the most valuable life and health insurer in the New Zealand market.”

Ms Fahey added: “I am delighted to have the opportunity to add to the Partners Life story. I am looking forward to bringing my unique perspective to the board to help guide the company through the rapidly changing world of financial services. I am also very excited to be working alongside the highly respected Partners Life team of incumbent directors and the exceptional management team.”

Partners Life launched in April 2011.
