The Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ) is set to hold a series of workshops to informally consult with the insurance industry on a new regulatory initiative.

The regulator is seeking feedback on the wording of Definitions and Guidance for the Insurer Return and the Quarterly Insurer Survey and other matters relating to insurer data collections.

RBNZ said discussion drafts of the documents concerned will be made available prior to the meetings. While open to all, the workshops will be most relevant for finance and actuarial staff involved in the production of RBNZ insurer data returns.

The workshops will be held on September 24 (Wellington) and September 25 (Auckland).
