AIA NZ has unveiled a new initiative through its AIA Vitality program designed to incentivise both new and existing customers. This campaign, announced towards the end of the year, offers rewards of up to $100.

AIA Vitality, now boasting a membership of 50,000, has shown significant health improvements among its participants. These improvements highlight the benefits of personal wellbeing management.

By September 2023, members of AIA Vitality had completed 12,625 Vitality Health Checks. These checks have contributed to notable shifts in health metrics, including a 20% increase in members moving from an unhealthy body mass index (BMI) range to a healthier one. Similarly, there has been a 51% improvement in blood pressure levels, 26% in cholesterol levels, and 81% in glucose levels.

The campaign outlines specific steps for customers to receive rewards. These include adding AIA Vitality to any new or existing eligible insurance policy and activating the membership to receive a $50 reward. Additionally, completing a free AIA Vitality health check secures another $50 reward. Furthermore, active members who have already completed their health check for the year are automatically entered into a draw to win one of fifty $100 Countdown vouchers or Airpoints Dollars.

“As an AIA Vitality member, you get a free health check each year checking your BMI, blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood glucose levels. It’s quick and easy and a great way to get an understanding of where you’re at with these fundamentals of health, so you can take action and experience a healthier and more fulfilling life,” said Sharron Botica, AIA NZ chief partnership distribution officer.

In other recent developments, the AIA Group has also announced its financial results for the third quarter ending on Sept. 30.
