Chubb Life Insurance New Zealand has announced the appointment of Linley Wood as new independent board director.

Wood brings with her  broad experience in the country’s financial sector at both directorial and executive levels. Currently, she also serves as independent board director at the Bank of New Zealand.

According to her LinkedIn, Wood previously served as part of ASB Bank’s executive leadership team for 25 years. She also holds current roles at King’s School, Auckland, Auckland City Mission, and Melanesian Mission.

“A dynamic and collaborative leader, with a passion for people, culture and delivering innovative, positive customer outcomes, Linley will further strengthen our board and play a key role in supporting management in their development and execution of the company’s strategy,” Chubb Life NZ board chair Paul Brock said.

Recently, the life insurer also took part in the country sector’s first industry stress test to see just how resilient New Zealand life insurance is.
