Major New Zealand life insurer Fidelity Life has announced the appointment of Angela Henderson as its new chief information officer (CIO), effective in early May.

Henderson, who is currently the GM digital at Kiwi Property Group, brings to the role over 15 years of experience in the financial services sector across New Zealand and the UK. Her career includes digital and transformation leadership positions at organisations such as Air New Zealand, Westpac NZ, and Ports of Auckland. Henderson is also recognised for her advocacy for women in business and technology sectors.

What to expect from the new CIO

In her new position at Fidelity Life, Henderson will be responsible for overseeing the insurer's portfolio governance and delivery.

This appointment is part of the company's broader strategy to enhance its digital initiatives and complete significant transformation projects aimed at providing advanced digital solutions for advisers and planning for future strategic developments.

“Angela is a great addition to our team and a great fit for Fidelity Life. Her deep experience in portfolio governance, change management, and product delivery, not to mention digital strategy and leadership, is something the team is really looking forward to tapping into,” said Campbell Mitchell, CEO of Fidelity Life. “It's certainly an exciting time to be joining as we work towards closing out some significant transformation projects, delivering digital initiatives for advisers, and plan ahead for our next strategic horizons.”
