Software company Hearsay Systems has appointed insurance cloud veteran Alex Falls as vice president of product.

Falls has decades of experience in delivering product vision, strategy, and execution – with a background that encompasses core systems, CRM, and analytics.

He previously held senior roles in Guidewire, for five years serving as the vice president of product management. He also led the firm in unveiling broader solutions instead of just focusing on singular products to meet market needs – unifying product vision and strategy across groups of both related and unrelated products.

In his new role, Falls will be responsible for new product development as the firm continues to double-down on allowing financial services relationship managers and insurance brokers to be proactive, systematic, and human in service of clients.

“Alex has tremendous, highly relevant experience that will help Hearsay continue to innovate for our customers,” said Clara Shih, founder and chief executive officer at Hearsay.

“At Guidewire, he led the financial industry’s back-office transformation, delivering industry-changing core systems across billing, policy, and claims management. At Hearsay, he will lead the financial industry’s front-office transformation as we deliver insurance and wealth management workflows and analytics to allow field distribution to become more systematic while enhancing rather than replacing the human touch.”
