CPR : Everything you need to know

Cooper Professional Risks (CPR) is a general insurance brokerage specialising in professional indemnity risks. It was founded by Robert Cooper in 2010, after being made redundant from two well-paying insurance broking jobs in a span of 15 months.

CPR has access to more than 150 general insurance markets, and offers a wide variety of professional indemnity risks for all sizes of business. These include directors & officers (D&O) liability, management liability, association liability, IT liability, medical malpractice (allied health professionals and establishment), and employment practices liability. CPR also deals with other general insurance products, such as cyber insurance, product liability insurance, marine insurance, and corporate travel insurance.

Part of the Steadfast broker network, CPR has access to the network’s support for over 380 general insurance brokerages across Australasia. CPR’s main client base is composed of small businesses, and, according to these clients, they choose CPR for their understanding and empathy, being a fellow small business.

Playing on its name, CPR provides a “resuscitation” service where it reviews a client’s current insurance programme and rescues it, if needed. It identifies gaps in cover, as well as restrictive or prejudicial clauses. It will then make recommendations for improvement, and if necessary, provide alternate cover or terms to change insurers.
