In his new role, Drinnan, who joined Allianz
in 2016, will focus on enabling a more consistent, effective, and efficient distribution value proposition. Allianz
will also merge the existing state and regional operations of its corporate and commercial teams to ensure a holistic view of its distribution strategy.
The role of general manager for consumer, SME, and platform solutions will provide dedicated leadership of Allianz
's personal lines and SME portfolios and in building the firm's broker platform strategy; while the national manager for strategy and key partnerships will be responsible for developing Allianz
's strategic response to an ever-changing intermediary market as well as in identifying, fostering, and recognising key partnerships in Australia and in New Zealand.
In the interim, Bill Lezes, national strategic relationship manager, and Alison Brough, national manager sales programs and customer experience, will report directly to Hosking.
All other areas of Allianz
's broker and agency business remain largely unchanged.
