Adroit Insurance Group and McNair Hurle Latrobe Insurance Brokers (MHL) have announced a merger of their businesses in Gippsland.

The Victoria-based firms will join forces under the banner of Adroit MHL Insurance Brokers with Joe Diamente, Rocco Gaudiano and Karen Locandro becoming partners in the firm.

The combined team will operate out of Morwell with more than 20 experienced brokers and professionals servicing the region.

Peter Hurle, director of MHL, said that the move is a “natural fit” for both businesses and will allow him to move into the next stage of his life.

“It gives me the opportunity to transition into retirement safe in the knowledge our clients will be looked after and MHL will go from strength to strength,” Hurle said.

Managing direct of Adroit, Andrew Locke, said that the merger will allow the business to scale up and continue to grow in the future.

“The merger brings together two businesses with similar cultures and complementary skillsets, and aligns with the Adroit model and ambition to partner with likeminded and quality people.”

The merger will take place on July 01, 2017.
