AIG is celebrating its 60th anniversary of business in Australia.

From humble begins in 1957 with just five employees in an unfinished building in Melbourne, the firm now employs more than 400 people in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.

Noel Condon, CEO of AIG Australia, said that he is proud of the work done by AIG, with several internal and external events planned to celebrate the anniversary over the course of the month.

“We have adapted to the changing environment around us, always restless to innovate and improve,” Condon said.

“Sixty years has seen the growth of our team, the expansion to four offices, the creation of new products, the introduction of new technology, the incredible response to catastrophes, and so much more.”

Condon thanked brokers for their continued support over the past six decades and noted that the business looks forward to continued growth in an important market for the international giant.
