Ansvar names new NSW state manager

Ansvar, a part of the Benefact Group, has appointed Ross McCallum as its new state manager for New South Wales (NSW).

In a LinkedIn post, Ansvar welcomed McCallum to its team, highlighting his more than 20 years of experience in broking, distribution, and underwriting. Before joining Ansvar, McCallum worked with insurance giants such as Allianz, Chubb, and Network Insurance Group.

“I’m excited to be joining the already growing and highly experienced team at Ansvar. I can’t wait to contribute and make a real difference as the NSW state manager,” McCallum said.

Other senior appointments

Early this year, Ansvar appointed a new national manager for SME and business packages and a new business development underwriting manager.

Michelle Hay, who took on the role of national manager for SME and business packages, has more than 20 years of experience in the industry with expertise in the broking, distribution, and underwriting sectors.

Paul Cowley, who took on the business development underwriting manager role, also has more than 20 years of experience. His career has focused on underwriting, business development, and claims consulting.
