ANZIIF names winners of 2023 Australian Insurance Industry Awards

The Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) has revealed the winners of this year’s Australian Insurance Industry Awards.

The awards recognised and highlighted the excellent work Australian insurance professionals and organisations do to make a difference in the insurance community.

ANZIIF announced the winners at The Star, Sydney, on August 24, 2023.

Winners of the 19th Australian Insurance Industry Awards

The organisations that won in the latest ANZIIF Australian Insurance Industry Awards are:

• Simplex Insurance Solutions, Small Broking Company of the Year;
• Warren Saunders Insurance Brokers, Medium Broking Company of the Year;
• Aon, Large Broking Company of the Year;
• Insurance Advisernet, Authorised Representative Network of the Year;
• CHU Underwriting Agencies, Underwriting Agency of the Year;
• RACT Insurance, Small-Medium General Insurance Company of the Year;
• Suncorp Group, Large General Insurance Company of the Year;
• NTI, Claims Team of the Year;
• AIA Australia, Life Insurance Company of the Year; 
• Sync Technologies, Insurtech Start-up of the Year;
• Finity, Professional Services Firm of the Year;
• Allied Universal Compliance and Investigations, Service Provider to the Insurance Industry;
• Allianz, Excellence in Workplace Diversity and Inclusion; and  
• IAG, Excellence in Environmental, Social and Governance Change. 

The individuals who won in the latest ANZIIF Australian Insurance Industry Awards are:

• Calise Liu, Young Insurance Professional of the Year;
• Win-Li Toh, Insurance Leader of the Year; and
• Tony Morgan, ANZIIF Lifetime Achievement Award. 

ANZIIF CEO Prue Willsford congratulated the winners and finalists.

“All [winners and finalists] have displayed excellence and a commitment to professionalism over the past year,” Willsford said. “Thank you to our diverse judging panel that have given their time to assess the submissions and to our great partners and sponsors, who continue to support this celebration of excellence, and truly make this event possible.”

ANZIIF also recently revealed the winners of the latest Allianz Donna Walker Awards, which recognise insurance professionals who have contributed significantly to the development of insurance professionalism and promoting diversity and inclusion across the industry.
