Ausure announces latest acquisition
Ausure has announced that it has acquired a 50% stake in a Wollongong-based brokerage.

The firm has acquired a stake in Abico Insurance Brokers and will partner with David North, managing director of Abico, who will continue to lead the business.

Abico was established in 1981 and has a specialisation in general commercial and construction, transport and earthmoving cover.

“Abico enhances Ausure’s network and is in line with its strategy of partnering with like-minded insurance professionals,” the firm said in a statement.

“It also complements our existing partnership with Ruralco Holdings by providing Ausure a footprint in Southern NSW to provide products and services to Ruralco clients in that region.”

Both Ausure and Abico are Steadfast members, with Ausure offices located in each state and territory in Australia.
