Yesterday Insurance Business reported on Peter Kelaher’s promotion to country president for Australia and New Zealand at property and casualty insurance mammoth Chubb. Now we know where his predecessor is heading.

In an announcement today, Insurance Australia Group (IAG) said Jarrod Hill is moving from Chubb to take up the role of group executive for intermediated insurance Australia at the general insurance giant. Hill will come onboard IAG in September.

Meanwhile the insurance group also announced other leadership appointments.

Former chief strategy & innovation officer Julie Batch, who previously acted as group executive for intermediated insurance Australia, will now become group executive for direct insurance Australia.

Taking on the chief operating officer position is Neil Morgan, while Amanda Whiting – after acting as group executive for direct insurance Australia – is now named chief executive of IAG New Zealand. Whiting takes over from Craig Olsen, who becomes group executive for strategic projects.

“I’m pleased to announce several key executive appointments today as we move to quickly embed our organisational structure led by a strong, experienced, and disciplined leadership team,” said IAG CEO and managing director Nick Hawkins.

“The appointments are testament to the capability we have within our company and our ability to attract new leaders to the business.”
