The Gallagher Brisbane team has donated $2,411 to support the construction of Jimmy's Village School in Siem Reap, Cambodia.

The funds have helped Jimmy Chan, the school's principal and teacher, to start putting up the walls of the English language school that would cater to underprivileged Cambodian children.

The construction will deliver a two-storey building, comprising three classrooms, a library, computer room, bathroom, playground, and eating area.

Of the $2,411 fund injection, $215.50 was collected by the Brisbane team in a donations drive, as part of the 90,000 hours of charitable activities the company is logging to celebrate its 90 years in the business. Allianz also pitched in an equal amount, which was added to the $1,750 raised from the Toowong Angels snack drawer and vending machine fundraising, and the $200 prize money the Toowong branch donated from last year's sales awards.
