Gallagher members have “grown” moustaches in different styles and colours – including black cardboard – to raise funds for Movember Foundation, which seeks to raise awareness of and money for men's health.

In this 10th year of Gallagher giving, two teams of mo-growers, headed by Mark Hutchinson and Michael Leeks, ran the style gamut from subtle to the frankly flamboyant, raising $5,790. This figure was topped by a company donation from Sarah Lyons, Gallagher chief executive of Australia, bringing the contribution to a grand total of $10,790.

Fundraising activities included a treats raffle and a well-attended Melbourne morning tea where participants rocked temporary moustaches combined with drinking straws.

“Many of our Movember team are veteran fundraisers who have committed to the cause every year,” the brokerage said. “To them, the new entrants and their supporters, congratulations. We at Gallagher salute you!”
