Gallagher hosted a luncheon for industry friends at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) members’ pavilion last week to benefit the brokerage’s chosen charity for 2018 – the Australian Cancer Research Foundation (ACRF).

The Gallagher 90 Not Out! Luncheon, attended by Gallagher executives, including Peter Searson, chairman for Asia Pacific, and Sarah Lyons, chief executive for Australia, saw some 200 clients, insurer partners, and guests watch Australia play India in Adelaide, bid in raffles, and compete in a virtual-reality cricket tournament, raising a total of $35,000 in funding for ACRF.

Kerry Strydom, ACRF’s chief operating officer, and Priscilla Leong, corporate fundraising campaigns coordinator, were also present at the event to talk about the core functions of the research foundation, ongoing activities, and initiatives made possible by donor support.

“Gallagher extends warmest thanks to our sponsors, guests, the organisers, and everyone who participated and helped us achieve this resounding result,” the brokerage said. “We look forward to another year of positive community involvement in 2019.”
