GB relaxes its dress code

GB has launched “Dress for your Day,” a flexible dress code that allows all GB employees to dress as they see fit – whether it's a classic tee-shirt and jeans, a suit and tie, or even some brave mid-winter shorts!

The insurance broker said the new benefit recognises that everyone works best when they are comfortable at work, and was rolled out after a successful trial by the Innovation and People and Performance teams in its Melbourne branch earlier this year.

“By trusting our employees to dress for their day, we hope to create a more engaging environment within the workplace,” said John McNamara, GB managing director.

As part of GB's Workplace Giving Program, employees have been urged to donate business clothes they no longer need. The clothes will be handed to chosen charities that support people on their journey back to work, by providing professional clothing and work-skills training
