Howden Insurance Brokers Australia has embarked on a three-year partnership with Reclink Australia (Reclink), committing to back its efforts in providing sports and recreation programs for underprivileged Australians.

This collaboration is aimed at fostering environments that encourage social inclusion and facilitate life-altering opportunities for participants.

Reclink collaborates with over 500 community partners to deliver initiatives that not only bolster participants' physical, mental, and social health but also open doors to enhanced educational and career prospects.

Central to Reclink's efforts is Howden's support for Club Reclink, a platform designed to facilitate the engagement of over 20,000 individuals in a comprehensive range of sports and active recreation programs across the nation.

Club Reclink is set to be integral to the daily operations of member agencies and participants, providing a vital resource for Reclink staff to gather and scrutinise important data concerning program engagement and outcomes.

Within the framework of this sponsorship, Howden will be acknowledged as a national sponsor at the Reclink Community Cup's flagship event in Melbourne's Victoria Park, an occasion that recently celebrated its 30th anniversary and attracts a crowd exceeding 10,000. Additionally, Howden's role extends to being a national partner for the Community Cup events across other Australian states.

This sponsorship marks a notable shift towards corporate investment in Reclink, an organisation that has historically been supported by government and philanthropic contributions. The partnership signifies a substantial commitment from Howden to support Reclink's mission.

Reclink CEO Dave Wells has expressed his optimism about the partnership with Howden, anticipating it will significantly contribute to the organisation's growth and innovation for the benefit of its participants.

“We are very excited to be partnering with Howden Insurance Brokers – this new major partnership will support Reclink Australia to grow and innovate to the benefit of our thousands of participants, and we look forward to sharing these achievements with Howden staff and our stakeholders, every step of the way,” he said.

“Reclink plays such a unique role in the community development and health services sectors,” said Matt Bacon, CEO of Howden Pacific. “We as Howden are proud to be backing the only national charity leveraging the infrastructure and people resources across hundreds of grassroots clubs and sporting bodies to implement different sport and recreation activities that impact Australia positively.”

The partnership with Reclink follows Howden's collaboration with a leading corporate threat advisor.
