Seven insurance providers have been recognised at the third annual finder Awards, which celebrates the best financial products and hottest innovations for 2018.

Winning the best car insurance for value category was 1300 Insurance, with Hume Bank getting high commendation. Hume Bank secured the top prize for best car insurance for comprehensive category.

For the best in travel-insurance products, Tick Travel Insurance’s standard cover and Budget Direct’s comprehensive cover won the standard and comprehensive categories, respectively, with Fast Cover getting high commendation for its comprehensive cover.

Also awarded were Health.com.au’s entry hospital $500 excess with basic extras 65, scooped the best health insurance – value, and Phoenix Health Fund’s top hospital $500 excess and top extras won the best health insurance – comprehensive.

Malini Sietaram, chief marketing officer at finder.com.au, congratulated all 27 winners as well as the award finalists, “for pushing the envelope for the benefit of everyday Australians consumers.”

“These innovations are great news for consumers, and I hope they inspire more Australians to find better,” Sietaram said.
