McLardy McShane is set to expand its footprint in Victoria with the launch of a new branch in the Yarra Valley this month.
The new venture will be led by insurance industry veterans Matthew Kohler and Rhian Greaves, who bring more than 30 years of experience each. It also marks the next phase for Peak Insurance, an authorised representative of McLardy McShane previously owned by Kohler, which the company recently acquired.
“It is a great opportunity to expand and plan for future growth, with not only a new office; however, welcoming both Rhian and Natalie Price to the McLardy McShane family is an exciting step forward,” Kohler said.
“We are all collectively excited to grow a business supporting the local community and businesses alike. Opening the business back in the Yarra Valley where I grew up and have so many great memories makes it even more special,” Greaves said, adding that his decision to join the company was solidified after a conversation with McLardy McShane’s leadership.
“It took only a 15-minute meeting with Don McLardy to see his passion, vision and expertise. I knew then and there this was who I wanted to partner with, and McLardy McShane Yarra Valley began to take shape,” Greaves said.
Chief growth officer Nick McLardy said the Yarra Valley expansion is in line with the company’s strategy to strengthen its national presence, building on the recent move into Queensland with the launch of the Brisbane joint venture in January.

We have had the pleasure of working with Matthew over the past five years, so we know his character and value set aligns well with our business,” McLardy said.
