MetLife appoints head of people and culture

Largest US life insurer appoints head of people and culture for its Australian business

A specialist provider of life insurance to affinity partners, superannuation trustees, and employers in Australia has welcomed a new head of people and culture.

Allyson Carlile brings to her new role 15 years of people management experience. She will report to Deanne Stewart, CEO of MetLife Australia, and will be based in Sydney.

She joins from NAB Asset Management where she was head of people. Prior to her role at NAB, Carlile also occupied a number of executive and senior positions at leading blue-chip financial companies, including Westpac, Barclays Global Investors, and BT Financial Group.

Stewart commented on Carlile’s appointment: “Creating a world class work environment remains a high priority for MetLife. I’m delighted that we have recruited someone of Allyson’s expertise and experience. I look forward to working closely with her in developing our people and culture agenda to support MetLife’s Australian business strategy as we move to the next phase of growth.”
