QBE has announced that Bettina Pidcock will take on the newly created role of chief customer officer for its businesses in Australia and New Zealand.

Pidcock, who moves into the role having joined QBE as EGM, marketing in February last year, takes the role with immediate effect.

The firm has created the role as part of an organisational restructure to cement work undertaken to become more customer focused.

Pat Regan, CEO of the Australian and New Zealand operation of QBE, said that Pidcock has worked well since joining the organisation and has brought “a persistent focus” on customers, utilising data to shape decisions and outcomes.

“The creation of this role will help us stay true to the changes we want to bring about to improve our focus on delivering exceptional customer experience,” Regan continued.

QBE’s customer experience team will report to Pidcock, who will retain responsibility for marketing, communications and digital.

“The customer needs to be at the centre of everything we do,” Pidcock said.

“Working closely with our partners and focusing on our customers will help us to design and deliver better solutions to meet their insurance needs.”
