Tudor Insurance Australia has announced its acquisition of the Brokers National portfolio from Doug Kerr Insurance Consultants. According to a media release, the move brings new business and staff under the direction of Tudor’s managing director, Cameron McKerchar (pictured above).

The release said the acquisition is “a significant milestone” for the Melbourne based brokerage.

“Tudor Insurance's primary objective is to combine the strengths of both businesses to provide the highest quality service and advice to all clients,” said McKerchar. “By leveraging the scale of the combined operation, the company aims to drive innovation and stay at the forefront of the evolving insurance landscape,” he said.

Doug Kerr, long time principal of Brokers National, said he was pleased to endorse the acquisition of his firm’s staff and “loyal client base.”

The release also referred to “combined expertise and resources” and “enhanced value” for clients from the deal.

Tudor specialises in coverages for SMEs and was established in 1985. The firm is part of the Steadfast Group, Australasia’s largest network of brokerages.
