Three law firms with established practices in insurance and workplace law have announced the relocation of their offices in major Australian cities.

The firms cited sustained growth and evolving service delivery needs.

Carter Newell opens new Sydney office

Effective 7 May, Carter Newell’s Sydney team commenced operations from a new office space at Level 27, 85 Castlereagh Street.

The relocation follows a period of growth in the firm’s Sydney division, including expansion in key practice areas such as insurance, construction, and employment law.

The transition is also linked to the firm’s recent leadership developments, including the integration of a new partner in its Employment & Workplace Advisory group.

The updated office environment is designed to better accommodate a growing workforce and provide functional spaces for client interactions.

“While the address may have changed, the firm’s focus remains on delivering exceptional service and trusted advice to our clients,” the firm said.

Moray & Agnew moves Melbourne operations

On 23 May, Moray & Agnew shifted its Melbourne office to new premises at 333 Collins Street.

The decision to move was prompted by increased personnel numbers, with the local team now comprising over 220 staff, and a rise in client activity across several legal disciplines.

The firm will temporarily operate from Level 8 of the new location while final preparations are made for a permanent workspace on Level 16.

The office was selected in part for its sustainability credentials, including a 4 Star NABERS Energy rating, and is configured to enhance collaboration among legal professionals while supporting client service delivery.

Melbourne managing partner Bill Papastergiadis said the new location would contribute to staff collaboration and client engagement.

“We are excited for our new home which blends historical elegance with cutting-edge business amenities. As Moray & Agnew continues to grow at rapid pace, our new premises and the fit out design will play a significant role in the cultural development of staff by shaping daily experiences, influencing collaboration and reinforcing our organisational behaviours,” he said.

Wotton + Kearney relocates Brisbane team

Wotton + Kearney completed the relocation of its Brisbane office on 28 April, moving to Level 21, 71 Eagle Street, within Riparian Plaza.

The new site features a layout intended to encourage flexible working and improve both internal collaboration and external client engagement.

“Our new space is designed with our clients in mind – providing a more accessible, collaborative, and comfortable setting to support the service and outcomes you expect from us,” the firm said.
