A global brokerage giant has announced two senior appointments for its Asia-Pacific business.

Willis Towers Watson (WTW) has appointed Trent Williams as head of broking Australasia and Juan Florez as head of carrier management for Asia-Pacific.

Williams joined WTW’s construction placement team in 2006 and was most recently construction broking director in Australia.

Williams “has a proven ability to foster relationships with carriers and clients alike, and he will create exceptional added value for our clients,” said Simon Weaver, head of corporate risk and broking for Asia-Pacific. “He will deliver our broking strategy across all lines of business, create consistency around our broking activities, and act as the focal point for our carrier interaction in Australasia.”

Meanwhile, new head of carrier management Florez will work closely with WTW’s carriers to enhance their insurance proposition, identify opportunities for innovation, and increase efficiencies to deliver more value to clients and prospects in the region.

He joined the company in 2009 and was most recently manager of carrier engagement and platforms in Australasia. Florez will report to Williams.
