ANZIIF has launched the Making a Difference Awards in New Zealand. The awards recognise individuals across different sectors of insurance who have gone above and beyond to display exemplary professionalism in their workplace and with their customers.

Award winners will receive a prize valued at AU$500, a profile on the ANZIIF website’s professional development section, and recognition and exposure within the industry. Nominations are now open and will close on June 24.

“By celebrating the things we do well, we can continue to raise the profile of insurance in the community,” said Prue Willsford, ANZIIF CEO. “We encourage insurance professionals to enter by either self-nominating or nominating a colleague or peer who has demonstrated outstanding professionalism, commitment, achievement and passion in the insurance industry.”

The winners will be announced on July 27, during ANZIIF’s New Zealand Liability Conference. The conference, which has a history of over 12 years, will be held both in-person in Auckland and online. It tackles pertinent liabilities issues that have arisen over the past year and prepares for what lies ahead, ANZIIF said.

ANZIIF also recently announced the return of its New Zealand Insurance Industry Awards night, which will be hosted in Auckland on Nov. 30.
