Asteron Life has launched a promotion to thank its new customers for signing up, and give them some money to put back into their local community.

The campaign, which will run until Dec. 17, will give qualifying customers vouchers to spend in their communities. Customers that take out a new policy from Asteron Life during the promo period will receive a Prezzy Card valued at $50 per $500 of annual premium, with a maximum card value of $5,000.

“We know how many New Zealand businesses have been struggling with the impact of COVID-19,” said Graham Hill, Asteron Life executive manager, life distribution. “This promotion puts a bit of money into the pockets of customers and we hope they take the chance to shop local and support local businesses.”

While life insurance may not be top of mind for many New Zealanders, the duration of the latest COVIID-19 lockdown means people can no longer put things on the back burner, Hill said.

“Insurance is an important part of Kiwis’ financial resilience toolkit,” Hill said. “We wanted to find a creative way to give advisers support as they put offers together for their clients, while also providing customers with additional value and an easy way to put some money back into their local community at the same time as getting their critical insurances in place.”

Several recent enhancements to Asteron Life’s products have been received positively by advisers and customers.

“We’ve had a lot of positive feedback on the enhancements we’ve announced, including the adjustments to our specific injury cover and our trauma expiry ages, and from business customers who have benefitted from the early release of business premium relief options,” Hill said. “We’re pleased that these enhancements are now in place and will benefit new customers who come on board with us during this promotion.”
