Loan Market has opened a collaborative working hub for mortgage and insurance advisers in Auckland, a space which aims to “give both advisers and clients a space to meet, learn and work.”

The “unique” Loan Market Hub is designed to become a destination for customers to seek advice on various protection policies, and will also provide new advisers with networking and collaboration opportunities to kick-start their career.

“We wanted to provide a space for us to bring people into the branded side of our business and provide one-on-one training, collaborate with other advisers and gather ideas,” Loan Market head of growth Bruce Patten tells Insurance Business. “It will also give us the opportunity to do some mentoring with new and existing advisers around their business growth.”

“Studies undertaken in Australia have shown that a new adviser who works from home settles on average $7 million in their first twelve months, whereas an adviser working from professional offices settles around $20 million,” Patten explains.  “Working in a place that encourages concentration and networking gives advisers a better kick-start and encourages them to stay in the industry longer, and the longer they’re in, the easier it gets. We want to make that available for advisers, and provide a place where they can jump-start their career.”

Advisers and client relationship managers will be given access to professional development and training events, and its highly visible Ascot Park location will provide a solid level of awareness for the brand.

According to Loan Market CEO Brian Geer, the Hub will be multifunctional, hosting offices, training space and dedicated meeting rooms for client appointments. Several Loan Market professionals are already using the space for their business activities, including “powerhouse” Irene Zheng and her team of six Mandarin-speaking advisers.

“The hub is a dynamic space that will provide advisers with the tools they need to deliver exceptional financial solutions to their clients, and provide clients with a one-stop shop for all their financial needs and goals,” said Geer.

“Quality of service is paramount for Loan Market, so an extensive training program is in place with up to three sessions per week. The new venue will provide plenty of space to host regular learning, training and development events for advisers.”
